Development

Built for your business, not from a template.

Design and build for the site your business actually needs, whether that is a brochure, a booking flow or a full store. Fast, accessible, straightforward for you to edit, and written to sell rather than to decorate.

What the work covers

Design, build and the words in between

A template gets you a layout. It does not tell you what belongs on the page, or why a visitor should believe it.

01

Design

Drawn around what you actually sell and who is actually buying it.

  • 01Research on your buyer and your competitors
  • 02Layouts for every page type, not just the home page
  • 03Reviewed in a browser at real widths
  • 04A type and colour system your brand keeps using

02

Build

Hand-built front-end with a speed budget agreed before a line of code is written.

  • 01Semantic, accessible markup from the start
  • 02Core Web Vitals measured on real pages
  • 03Tested on the phones your buyers actually hold
  • 04A CMS your team edits without calling us

03

Content & copy

Words written to answer the question a buyer is actually asking on that page.

  • 01Page-by-page messaging rather than filler
  • 02Copy written for the buyer, not the award
  • 03Photography direction and asset preparation
  • 04Existing content migrated, with redirects

What you own

Four things that are yours on the day it goes live

A website is an asset or it is a rental. Which one it is gets decided at the build, not at the moment you try to leave.

None of this costs extra. It is how the build is set up in the first place.

  1. 01

The domain is in your company’s name

Registered to you, not to us, with the registrar login handed over at launch — including when we are the ones who bought it for you.

Transferable without our permission or our involvement.

  2. 02

    Administrator access from day one

You can change a phone number, swap a photograph or publish a page without raising a ticket and waiting on somebody else’s queue.

Training on handover, so the access is actually usable.

  3. 03

    Everything is exportable

Content, images, form submissions and the analytics history all come out in formats another developer can take straight into whatever comes next.

If you ever leave, you leave with all of it.

  4. 04

Accessibility is built in, not bolted on

Keyboard navigation, colour contrast, focus states and labelled form fields are part of the build rather than a remediation project later.

Checked against WCAG 2.2 AA before launch.

How it runs

Four passes, each one ending in something you can hold

No phase finishes with a status update. Each one hands you a deliverable you own, whether or not the next phase ever happens.

Questions

What founders ask about a new site

Anything this does not cover, put it on the call. We answer it before you commit rather than after.

How long does a website take?

A brochure site is usually six to seven weeks from the first call to launch. A store or a booking flow takes longer, and we quote the realistic range for your build rather than the best case.

The step that slips most often is content. If your copy and photographs are ready, the timeline holds.

Do I have to write the content myself?

No. Copywriting is part of the build unless you would rather write it, in which case we give you a brief per page saying what it needs to do and roughly how long it should be.

What we do need from you is the substance — what you actually do, what it costs you to do it, and what your customers ask before they buy.

Can I edit it myself afterwards?

Yes, and that is a design decision rather than an afterthought. The editor is set up so the things that should change are editable and the things that should not are locked, which is what stops a site drifting out of shape six months in.

You get a walkthrough on handover and written documentation to go with it.

What about hosting and ongoing care?

We can host and maintain it — domain, DNS, business email, SSL, daily backups, updates, malware scanning and uptime monitoring — or hand the whole thing to your provider at launch.

Either way the site is yours. Care is a service you can stop without losing anything.

Tell us what the site has to do

Send us the brief. A sitemap, a plan and a fixed figure come back inside one business day.
